I have now lived two dreams: to have seen U2 in Dublin (regrettably the same night Princess Di died) and now in Berlin (the day of the London attacks). As an Irish ex-pat in Berlin, I am naturally inclined to say that the concert rocked, but this is no understatement.

Kurt stated that the crowd were not into the gig. Well, from the upper tier of Block 28, this certainly seemed to be the case. And the German public are also extremely well-read and spoken in English and definitely sang along well to each and every song - most notably to classics such as "With or without you", "One", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "I still haven't found.." and "Where the Streets..".

Kurt also wondered why Bono did not mention London. Not only did he speak about the atrocities, but he even dedicated "Running to Stand Still" to those who died! AND he did his best to speak in German. They love the Berlin public, so there was no shortage of dedications to the city and her Einwohner - Zoo Station was one of the Encores!

A great gig full of classics.
