U2 added to its legend with an incredible performance in their second show at sold out Madison Square Garden. The entire crowd was on their feet throughout the show which lasted just under two hours.

Highlights included fantastic renditions of Bad, Pride, and Sunday, Bloody Sunday. The encore was punctuated by a truly emotional rendition of One, accompanied by a backdrop that scrolled the names of all the victims of the Sept 11 attacks, including lists of NYPD and NYFD casualties. The show ended with the uplifitng Walk On that left everyone smiling. The show certainly proved the healing power of music.

Contrary to some published reports in which Garbage was listed as the opening act, No Doubt opened and gave an inspired 45-minute show, although the arena was less than half full for most of their set.
