I saw U2 5 times in June and none of those shows compared to the October 24 show in NYC. Granted I was in the heart for the first time but there were still some spectacular events. Bono had many things to say about the world, especially the IRA who decided to lay down their arms. Therefore it was a special night for the guys. What set this night apart from the other 6 times I saw them on this tour was the things they said and did. Bono brought a girl on stage, Ruth from NYC, and she played guitar for Knockin' on Heavens Door! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. During One the screens popped up and displayed the names of the people on the 4 hijacked airlines and people from the NYPD and the FDNY who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11th which was very touching and part of the reason I wanted to see U2 in NYC to begin with. It was an amazing concert, and Moby was inside the heart with us, not that anyone cared cuz we all wanted to see U2. All in all the best concert ever.... like Bono said that night... "The best band in the world in the best city in the world." What more could you ask for?
