Review

2005-08-10 - COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER submitted by CARLOS FROM MADRID

after having read millions and millions of reviews of the gig, to tell the truth, the concert could have been much better. much better because bono did not try his best. his voice was just irregular.
though I have read that u2 did not perform the four consecutive songs of the new album with a magnificent screen, I have to deny that. those songs and "miss sarajevo" were the moments of the concert.
the most known tracks of u2 (where the streets have no name, one, with or without and i still haven't found what I am looking for) were rubbish because of bono's voice. he didn't make the effort of improve his intonation, that is why the concert was not so good.
miss sarajevo was the best moment, because bono sang like pavarotti. that was the best applause of the gig. everybody felt bono's voice in their hearts.
the rest of the concert... like u2: poweful, tender and very grandiloquent, that's all.
finally, I would like to add a brief comment: why does u2 have to include an ordinary single like vertigo twice to start and to end a gig? why? don't they have better songs? why not to finish with 40, walk on, one...? the answer is easy: lack of creativity.
SORRY FOR MY REVIEW, JEJEJE
SALU2
