2005-08-05 - U2 Elevated BostonOn May 26, U2 played their 2nd to last show in the 1st leg of the Vertigo Tour. Among the famous people in the audience was Aerosmith's front man, Steven Tyler.
Bono even managed to work "Walk This Way" and "Dream On" into his set.
U2 started with City of Blinding Lights followed with the electrifyng Vertigo. They then played Elevation during which Bono refered to the Boston fans as ''sexy people." Three songs later the band played Beuatiful Day, and every section of the stage was a different color. Fast forward to the last song (before the encores)... During One, Bono encouraged the audience to join the "one campaign" ' to help try to Make Poverty History. Then U2 left the stage and came back on the stage for the first of the encores. They started with
The Fly, continued with Until the End of the World and Out of Control, then to end the first round of encores they played With or Without You where Bono brought a girl from the audience on stage. After the crowd cheered for 3 minutes, U2 came thundering back on for All Because of You. Next they played Original of the Species where The Edge was on the piano. Then for the last song of the concert they played Bad then a snippet of 40. I would give this concert a 5 out of 5 back
