Review

2005-07-21 - Milan..... what a nite! submitted by Matteo

It's all over....it's about midnite I have no voice left, I'm sweated, dirty and tired. I have to drive home, 200 km far awat from Milan. There's still a bunch of people singing Vertigo's chorus. Inside of me, I think they didn't sing along like I did troughout the whole concert. I know they did but the fact is that I don't want the concert to be over.
25 well beyond well-played songs did not satisfy me and my U2 hunger. As soon as Bono comes out with the band, the whole stadium exploded literally and as soon as he introduced the band the whole stadium was jumping and shouting preparing for uno dos tres....you know what they do, don't you! 75.000 maniacs, scorpion-bitten persons in one giant karaoke!!! Welcome to Italy, U2! Energy, passion, lights, music...are you asking for more? Impossible, when you have U2 on stage, with Bono with that Voice (thanks God he had no voice problems except three seconds at the end of All I want is you) and the band deeply committed in delivering their best, you simply cannot ask for more.
Intense performance in "Sometimes you can't make it one your own" where Bono did make the job with great effort but with remarkable result!!! Great version of Miss Srajevo, where Bono did sing in Italian...and for an Italian U2 fan like me...it's..it's just perfect.
Milan...what a nite!!! It's my fourth concert and I still have the emotions of my first one in Verona Zooropa '93.
Will buy the DVD bacause we definetly tear San Siro down....We didn't just lift the roof....San Siro is an open-space now.
