Review

2005-07-17 - ONE special night, submitted by Eric Peters

The best U2 gig ever seen (I saw a lot !!!) Magic, love and a topband in topshape !!
Each of the four members had a good time on the stage as we could notice, 4 happy smiling people playing a TOP setlist. And 50.000 people in the biggest "greenhouse" we have in Holland.
The best band ever on a special night. Miss Sarajevo without Pavarotti, but who cares when Bono singing the whole part...I could see his vains swollen and stretching his fingers to get it all out....and he did on a amazing way....shivers during original of the species, and who's gonna ride.....
Ending with 40 including the "spotlight" act.......
And now after a short sleep, the adrenaline still running.
I'm a real old U2 fan.....saw them furst playing in 1980 in a small club.....well after 25 years it's good to find out that U2 can play in a huge stadium and make that shitty place very intimate. They gave me the same feeling as in the early days.....shivers.....my voice is rotten right now from yelling 2 amazing nights.....BUT this last 3th show was worth it to shut my mouth for a long time....and now I'm gonna start to remember this night forever......
