Review
2005-07-01 - Easily The Best Gig I have Ever Attended submitted by la9liEmotional but Extremely Powerful performance by the band.
Set list and Venue were excellent. Sound was fantastic, lights and atmosphere was great, except some girl complaining to Venue Staff that I was holding my hands up and jumping up and down. I was on the front row (just after the Heart) and had Bono and Edge walking just past me and she wanted me and everyone to stand still. Moron. I did not care I just went wild (as did tens of thousands of others).
Bono's performance was the best I have ever seen and the whole band seemed reinvigotated playing the stuff from ATYCLB.
Highlight had to be the further reworking of Bullet (real bluesy - absolutely Genius suff) and The Fly (absolute mahem after a gentle opening verse - Edge really rocked it for all it was worth). Kite was something else as was One and Walk On.
Bono was a true hero for everyone in the circumstances at the time. He did not hold back one bit and really worked the crowd into a complete frenzy from front to the back. Real rock and roll night.
Best Gig I have ever attended - EASILY. back
