Was my second U2 gig and this was HUUUUUUUGE. Roundhay is a great venue for the sound but difficult to have any sort of vantage point at the front.

Stood for hours and the driving rain pelted down during the support act (CAST) but they were very good and the crowd really went for it.

U2 came on during the best intro I've seen at a gig, absolutely wild, storming into MoFo which was great. Good setlist and great sound. The other memorable thing was Bono's actions and ad libs that night Very Very Strange. Bounding about the side stage like a baboon at one point without any apparent reason. Odd.

Did version of Beatles Rain (because of the weather? Because of Harrison's comments?) which was great. There was a verbal snipe back at George Harrison for slagging the band off in the press that week when he said "Bono (U2) only known for their hats". Don't know why Mr Harrison was getting at U2 as he is not one for that sort of publicity. Very Odd.

Best tracks that night was Edge's scorching guitar work on Bullet and the whole of Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me FAAAAAAANNNNNTASTIC!!!!

Actually cried during ONE. The video wall showed the biggest reddest Love Heart I have ever seen and at that moment I missed my girlfriend and shed a tear because I love her. Thanks for that U2 will always stay with me.

Great Great Gig.
