Review

2011-07-24 - Best Ever! submitted by Joel

I've been to over 100 concerts since age 14 (now I'm 50). Have been to several huge stadium shows (including the Eagles at in the Twin Cities in '78, still the largest show in MN history), but out of all the artists seen over 36 years, this was the most incredible concert I've been to...ever. Amazing sound, amazing energy, amazing performance.

Sometimes my "political roadmap" doesn't always agree with Bono or U2's perspective, but I truly appreciate and respect his World Ideal and the blessings humanity has been given with our...diverse uniformity...found in our humanity. I fully respect that from these guys.

As for the music, it speaks for itself...and stand fully on its own merits. So unique and immediately identifiable. The band's performance, virtuosos each in creating and performing the popular song. I spent a lot of time watching larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton...they ARE...the roots and rhythm of this band. Amazing musicians. The Edge...I'm a guitar player too, and I do not know how he does it...truly the 'Eddie Van Halen' of effects and signal processing use...mixed with an amazing ear for melody and harmonies driven by soaring chord structuring..and he makes it look effortless.

Vocals. Bono's vox is the soul of the band. His showmanship? Beyond words. His ability to connect with 60,000 people? Overwhelming...he connects with every...single...human being in the place.

Thank you!!! What a memorable show.
