0000-00-00 - Lights go down - and so did the sound....! submitted by donvonThis was possibly the weakest U2 gig ever in Dublin. The worst sound for any gig I have seen - this lead to a poor atmosphere in the stands. The pitch looked like a different gig - they were really going for it.
I thought the band were not as passionate as I have seen them on other gigs - sound? rain ? nerves?
I have tickets for Monday, but I not going - Friday really was a bitter dissapointment. This felt more like an indoor arena show - not a stadium gig.
For the record my first U2 gig was in McGonagles, South Anne Street in 1979 and the Dandelion Market a week later for 50pence - & yes...I have seen all the Dublin shows since then.
Not the "sort of homecoming" I had so longed for. Its over to the Dubs to bring Croker alive this summer!
Result = 2/10 back
