As a U2 fan for many years i had yet to see them in the flesh and after securing my tickets as far back as February i was not left dissapointed.Firstly,i must mention the lovely weather conditions that fell upon Glasgow on Tuesday night it set the scene.Then despite keeping us waiting around half an hour,enter the worlds biggest and best band.They stormed into Vertigo and the mass of both Scottish and Irish flags must have had the lads wondering whether they were in Glasgow or Dublin.They looked and sounded great from where i was in the standing area and Bono had the crowd eating out of his hand from the off.(PS He is not a bad drummer either as we found out!!)Although all the songs went down a storm the ones that stood out for me were Vertigo(yes,twice),Elevation,City of Blinding Light(Which Glasgow sure was)Running to Stand Still and Pride.Im now very tempted to try and get to one of the other upcoming European dates but if this is not possible i feel they will be back again soon as they looked blown away by the response they got from their Scottish followers. Truly an awesome experience!!!!
