2011-05-23 - great show, sound not great

Great show, no doubt. We were in the third level club seating and the first few songs we couldn't even hear Bono through the mix. Not sure if it was just our particular location or what. And, I'm sure an echoey, hard surface stadium such as Mile High is not easy to get a clean clear sound out of. But you would think that with the money and resources of great equipment they could at least get a decent mix. It did get better as the show went on. I wonder how location dependent the sound really is. With large line array speakers they're supposed to get it pretty well balanced throughout.

Even with that said, we thoroughly enjoyed one of rock's true supergroups. I thought they played well, tight, and it was a great setlist.
