Review

2005-06-21 - Wild Horses @ Twiks submitted by Sarah Grant

What a Beautiful Day it was at Twikenham. Great venue, well organised and refreshments not as pricey as I expected (which is a refreshing change.) Arrived early to soak up the atmosphere and heat! And when the men in question arrived on stage - what can I say - well fanf***ingtasic is what!! Had seats directly in front of the stage, didn't matter how far away we were the atmosphere was electric, especially when ''Sunday Bloody Sunday'' was performed. Bono as ever was the consumate performer, his voice sounding graverley, crisp and soulful. There are not many bands you can go and see and get an experience like this. Loved all of the show but highlights for me were ''Wild Horses'' (never expected them to perform it -one of my fav's) ''Blinding Lights'', the 2nd performance of Vertigo and well the whole damn thing! U2 will always be the best band in the world as far as I'm concerned, roll on the next tour and album - I can't wait...........
