Review

2005-05-29 - My First U2 concert submitted by Sniggirb

Wow, what a show. It was my first ever show and it lived up to all the hype and high expectations I had for the show. The concert was going great but after Bullet the Blue Sky, the concert just was elevated to a whole new level. The crowd seemed to get louder and totally into the concert. Until the End of the World was a big suprise but "you know I love the element of suprise" Even more suprising was next when Bono stated he wanted Out of Control. It took Adam a few seconds to change gears and start playing the song. This prompted Bono saying "Adam Clayton, Adam Clayton, Adam Clayton" It was well played and nice to see one of their original songs in the city they've developed a special relationship with. And the encore just kept getting better with With or Without You, which was played for only the fourth time all tour. Next a few songs off Bomb were played, All Because of You and Original of the Species. I thought they were going to go into Yahweh and then 40 but was really happy to hear the opening notes of Bad. We left singing 40. It could also be heard in the halls as we left the arena. What a great show and I hope to see the band agian.
