2005-05-25 - The Boston Fans Were Lame submitted by bummed out in boston

I was at the last Philly show and then I was at this show last night. I can't even believe the fans last night. No wonder they played 20 minutes less last night. Noone pulled on stage, just so much shorter -- why? Because the fans sucked. I watched and was so horrified to see Bono at times out on the elipse and people were just hanging over the railing but not screaming or jumping or even with their arms up!! I mean what is wrong with people?? Other times he'd turn to various areas of the stadium and catch the crowd just standing there. The crowd got what it deserved which was a shorter set and a lot less dialogue with the audience. Boston better pull it together! Philly, on the other hand, ROCKED and the fans know how to let a great band feel loved.
