Review
2005-05-14 - Great Show! submitted by Lynn LeibyMy first U2 concert was no disappointment. Even in the 3rd level behind the stage, we had a very good view of the stage. The upper view of the stage afforded quite a light show that perhaps the general admission folks didn't quite experience. A different perspective you could say.
I didn't see the piano off to the side right away and mentioned to my friend that if I didn't hear "New Years Day" I may have to slit my wrists. Although the piano was there, we were still deprived of that performance. However, I left fully satisfied with what I did hear.
"Original of the Species" is one of my personal favorites from the new album and I felt a real treat to hear Bono mention a song that they only played a few times together and that they would give it a try. When I realized that "Original of the Species" was the song, my spirits soared.
The finishing of the show with "Bad" was an unexpected treat after seeing all the other setlists. When they came out with the final encore of "Yahweh", I expected them to finish off with "40" and was elated to hear "Bad" placed in there. back
