Review

2009-09-14 - Ride in the "Spaceship"

Bono was in a great mood and shared several jokes with the Chicago crowd last night. One of which, he referred to the stage claw as a "spaceship" several times. Although I don't remember launching off the planet we were certainly taken for a wild ride!
Snow Patrol did a great job opening up, Gary Lightbody spilled his emotional lyrics all over the stadium as the sun went down and the crowd poured in.
Bono's vocals were spot on and the Edge's guitar sound was larger than life! Larry's bass drum pounded every seat in the house.
My wife and I will remember this night forever!

Notables:
"The Unforgettable Fire" descended on Soldier Field as if it was 1985! Me and the guy next to me yelled out every word as Bono made his way through the complex lyrics...
Acoustic "Stuck in a Moment" was touching. YouTube bootleg cannot touch being there live.

In response to the other review, yeah, I heard Bono get choked up when he was saying goodnight to Chicago.

Thanks U2!
