Review

2009-06-08 - bringing the memories flooding back submitted by n3llyo

got on this page trying to remember if the faith brothers were one of the support acts that day, from someone elses report they were what a great and under achieving band they were.

billy bragg opend in style .spear of destiny were at their brilliant best R.E.M got bottled and were cr*p (my favourite drinking story that noone ever believes me that rem supported u2)
THE RAMONES the greatest band ever stormed through their set all ways remember some 40+ year old woman with her teenage daughters tutting and dragging her daughters away(in mad panic) from the middle of a group of us when a mosh pit (were they called that back then cant remember) erupted when the first shouts of 1 2 3 4 bellowed out of the sound system.
U2 came on i was allready deaf from the ramones by then bloody and bruised from our mosh and muddy from the amount of times we came crashing down in the rain they were good that night one of the last times along with the wembley stadium show with the pogues and lou reed that i actually enjoyed u2 i went off u2 after the unforgettable fire and joshua tree cds
but i will allways have milton keynes

back
