Review

2005-04-26 - Flew in from San Diego submitted by John

We missed out on tickets in San Diego, but were able to score tickets in Seattle. Great seats. Great venue! We may make coming up here a habit!

The Key Arena is intimate. The acoustics could have been better, but the concert was just incredible. It was very touching when Bono brought a little boy (Jason) up on the cat walk for Sometimes you just can't make it on your own.

Having seen the last U2 tour, which was the Bono and Edge show, it was great that Adam Clayton made a few tours of the cat walk and they even had Larry Mullen out there for one song. Believe me, nothing wrong with Bono & Edge out there playing with each other, I just enjoyed seeing Adam and Larry spot lighted a little more.

I realized when they played Vertigo the second time that the concert was over, which was dissapointing - mostly because you never want it to end. But I was really looking forward to 40, which they didn't play this evening. And my fiance was hoping that they might play With or Without You, which is her favorite song

Before turning in, we met a couple of the roadies at the Hotel Bar after the show where we bought them drinks. We were at Hotel Monaco - highly recommended - would have been nice if the boys were there too, but alas no such luck.

Great city. Great concert. Already looking forward to the next album and the next tour.

J & J from San Diego.
