Review

2009-03-24 - Best Double Bill I ever saw submitted by Jeff Jones

U2 and the Alarm in a Circus tent.
Drank a few heinekens with my college roomate waiting to get in. The Alarm warmed up and played fantastic.
It was raining and the band was having some issues with sound equiment. Bono was in prime mullet back then. I remember seeing all the Unforgettable Fire posters completly covering one of the Paris metro stations that fall. Bought my tickets the first day of sale at a Paris record store called FNAC. Like the previous review I remeber Bono saying "This band and this audience does not deserve this place". My lasting impression was all the tunes from UF sounded so much better live than they did on the crappy cassette tape I had of the new album. Bad was the best tune thazt night, and to this day probably is still one of my top U2 songs from all the Live shows. This was my second U2 showing having seen them in the USA abck in 1983.
