Review
2005-04-21 - Great Show! submitted by KathrynI went to the concert last night at the Pepsi Center and I loved it! I have been a fan of U2 since I was in elementary school (let's just say that was in the 1980's!), so I was thrilled they played quite a few "older" songs (the older songs are, by far, my favorites). I was also very happy that even though I sat up way up in the third tier and "behind the stage", my view of the band was hardly ever obstructed. It made the show much more enjoyable to be able to see all the members of the band nearly the entire show. The stage, the round "catwalk" that surrounded some members of the (floor) audience, and all of the lights (on, within, and above the stage) were all pretty great. I also noticed a large number of fans with camera phones taking all sorts of pictures throughout the show - so much for any venue being able to enforce the "no cameras/no video recorders allowed" rules! ;) For those of you who have yet to attend the show - just to give you a "heads up" - they were selling all sorts of U2 concert t-shirts last night - some were "retro" (from their older tours) and cost up to $90 EACH! The "regular" Vertigo Tour T's were $35 each. I believe a great time was had by all - the concert was worth every penny! back
