Review
2005-04-02 - I was there! The most amazing show that I have ever seen. I am an old school concert goer and this was the pinnacle of my attendance to this date. A magical evening that lingers sweetly to this day for me. I was an impressionable 16 year old boy at the time (as most of us are when our heroes are made) when U2 played Buffalo and left us literally begging for more. The show was a mix of old (my fav) and the Joshua Tree hits but what I will leave you with is a scene of the last song and encore. The meloncholy chords of Bad began to pull at our hearts and just when we were mesmerized by the melody of this hauntingly beautiful song, 40 began. At this magical time the real show began. We as concert attendees thought that it was the band's responsibility to entertain us, however we were somewhat off the mark. The band left the stage and we continued to sing the chorus in hopes of a third encore, it didn't happen, and that was for the best. As fans filed out of the seats one by one, the chorus continued. "How long to sing this song." The answer to this poignant answer to this question was about 20 beautiful minutes longer. My fellow Buffalonians sang their collective heats out into the parking lots, the refrain echoed from underneath the thruway overpasses and into our memories forever. A magical night that will always remain in my heart, God bless the rightious. back
