I've seen hundreds of big arena and stadium rock shows throughout my years. The U2 show that night at Olympic Stadium still out ranks all before and all since. I remember the air was electric with excitement as I ascended the steps into the stadium with the sounds of Martin Luther King sounding out over loudspeakers around the venue. From the moment the lights went out until the moment they came on, every chord played and every word sang took the audience higher, seemingly making higher consciousness atainable. It was one of those evenings that I have remembered and suppose I will for the rest of my life.
