2004-01-30 - Dedicated to Michael Hutchence submitted by Pope George Ringo

Coming the day after Micheal Hutchence was found dead in a Sydney hotel room, the band dedicated numerous songs in the set to him, putting up Warhol-esque pictures of him during MLK,Staring at the Sun, and Wake Up Dead Man plus closed the show by playing INXS' "Never Tear Us Apart" before turning on the house lights.

Bono repeatedly mentioned his admiration for Michael and all we obviously shaken. Very Moving. Oh, and The Edge's solo version of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is the single best song I've ever heard performed live.
