After the Rattle & Hum movie, many fans in Mexico dreamed about being part of a euphoric crowd singing and jumping with U2.

For me, this dream came true on November 22, 1992.

This was their second concert in Mexico, and since the arrival to "Palacio de los Deportes" there was a special vibe and excitement. The TV monitors, the sound equipment, the Trabants... and then all started.

Many of us were singing out loud and cheering, some of us even cry.

Since the night before (as mentioned by the newspapers, tv, radio, etc) there was a special communication among the band and the crowd... lighters.

Yes, lighters. It is very hard to express the emotion of hearing ONE and then the magic.... THOUSANDS of lighters going on and off, on and off; following the rhythm of Mullen's drums.

This was one of the best nights in my life and I frequently think about it... I imagn they think about it too, as five years later they came back to Mexico to show the world their PopMart, Live from Mexico city.
