U2 have come a long way since the beginning of the Zoo Tv world tour in Feb 92,bringing the European leg of Zooropa to a close and where better to finish up than back home in Ireland,and not only that,Dublin.Bono and the boys are on top form tonight for the first night here and with the home crowd brimming with enthusiasm get in Zoo Station to get them rocking.After brief interludes where Bono toys with the crowd and his big remote control zipping through the "boring" channels on the big t.v screen behind the band U2 lauch into another hit with as much energy and vigour as the opening number.As ever,the Showman a.k.a Bono transforms into MacPhisto for the encore,his phone call tonight from the stage was to his own home where his little daughter picks up the phone and tells him "Daddy,you're not coming home til you take off your horns!" the crowd love it.U2 have again,changed it around and come up with a winning formula.As long as theres U2,rock n roll will never die.
