Review

2003-04-28 - Great show! submitted by Barry

U2 was one of the latest UK punk/postpunk acts to hit the Cain's Ballroom (others included Sex Pistols, Elvis Costello, Clash etc). Unfortunately I had a lady friend with me who got sick during their set so I didn't get to enjoy it as well as I would've liked. But U2 owned the Tulsa crowd by the time "I Will Follow" rolled out the first time, even though most of the audience had not heard any of their music up til then. It was ironic watching a young Bono performing beneath huge portraits of country music giants like Bob Wills and Hank Williams Sr. :)
