This was 23 years ago so the memory is hazy, but memorable because this was my first U2 show. (By the way, this is my first time visiting or posting on this site...hope I'm "on topic" more or less)

I was 16 at the time and completely enthralled with U2. Paid a whopping $30 each for tickets from a ticket agency...box office price was something like $10-$15. That's a lot of money when you're earning $3.25 and hour at Wendy's.

Drove up from San Diego with 3 friends.

The most enduring memory of the show itself was just the soaring high created by the band and by the fans. Everybody in the arena stood for the whole show and sang along to every song. We stood not just on the floor, not just on the seats, but on the ARMS of the seats. Couldn't get any higher!

By the end of the show, the bottoms of my friend Suzie's shoes had been melted by the friction of twisting her feet for 2 hours on the metal armrests.

Waited a couple hours or so after the show for Bono to come out the back gate and sign autographs...and he did!

Saw U2 twice more but the first time is the first time.
