coming up to 20 years now since seeing this gig,so the brain cells are slightly jumbled.got in nice and early to get as near stage as possible,but not too close.crowd on pitch were going spare when dave fanning introduced the band to ;streets;and from there it was all a blur.they rattled off the set,old and new material.it was loud let me tell you that.bono was literally on fire,sounding off about the hopeless politicians of the day[nothing has changed much in 20 years].a power house show.we stumbled out into dublin exhausted,but elated looking for a bar.a great day out.thank heavens the stadium got the overhaul it got.praise be for u2,the greatest band on earth. patrick dundalk
