This was my first U2 show, days before my graduation from high school. The only negatives were: 1) the fact that two of the kids I was with decided the show would be better if they were drunk and were sick halfway thru the opening act and 2) the opening act. The night before, Big Country opened for U2. The night after our show, the Pretenders opened. Who'd we get? Red Rockers. Forget "where are they now?", where the hell were they THEN?

Everything else about this show was amazing. I was in awe from beginning to end. "40" was, of course, the climax as the crowd harmonized in a beautiful a capella coda.

While Unforgettable Fire is not one of my favorite U2 albums, this tour was the best I've seen. And yes, I've still got the t-shirt.
