coming up to 20 years since this gig.was fortunate enough to have seen them at live aid 2 years previous or be it from a distance on the screens from the pitch.thank heavens for dvd and crappy vhs bootlegs.had seats with then girlfriend now mrs.wembley was notorious for it,s dodgy sound,but i can recall the bands sounded great-no annoying swirly winds then i guess.the set was played with gusto.bono is the no 1 showman in rock since freddie passed on.big shows always look better in the dark-the stage blood red for bullet. fabulous guitar work by edge.72000 went home happy,that i do remember.saw zoo tv and popmart there before the bulldozers moved in nov 2000.hopefully they will play in the new stadium next time around.twickenham was an ok venue forthe awesome vertigo shows. got to go. cheers
