2006-12-11 - remembering submitted by DCBack then when I was a young person, living in Hawaii watching television late one night, the first time I ever heard of U2 was when HBO aired U2 Live at Red Rock, I was totally blasted by the group - especially the song New Years Day. When I moved to Northern California I had the opportunity to take an extended lunch when I heard U2 was doing a free concert at the Embarcadero Center. When I moved to New York I saw them at Madison Square Garden. I have since returned to my birthplace Hawaii and once again have had the opportunity to see them on stage and once again losing my voice from all the yelling and singing along to every song on their set.
The concert was terrific, growing up and listening to their message through their music has personally made me think about our lives a little more.
