2006-12-01 - My pennies worth submitted by Henry WilsonFirst of all a big thanks to my friend who got me a ticket and went with me to the show.
I am not a huge fan of U2 but coming from Ireland I am familiar with and like many of their songs. It was great to see a mega-band doing there thing and enjoyed myself throught out the show.
However...... I feel that the show lost its momentum a number of times because of "the preaching" All of what was said is very true and I agree with it all totally however I am disappointed that the preaching seemed to dominate the show and make it lose its steam.
I am also very sure "the twins" (two attractive ladies, one dressed in a green dress and the other in an orange one, who were spontaneously invited on stage to boogie and lie of the ground until the lights went out) were a plant and completly unecessary.
I am sure U2 could do much better than what they did last night........ back
