Lets face it, U2 would find it hard to play a poor gig. After this evening though i was left very flat. We have been amped for this one for ages and the four of us were frothing. Sorry Bono but you were emotionally elsewhere.You are the master of working the audience and playing with them like putty in your hands but tonightyou were all just going through the motions.I feel the whole band were in the same boat. This was our first time to Adelaide and the people were cool but at the concert i thought 99.9% of the crowd were lame. Yeah you had the wave going in the stands before they came on and you all got your phones out and waved your arms in the air, but in between that everyone just stood there, or sat in their seats.My brother was in Sydney and said no one sat in their seats. So unfortunately there was no buzz to lift U2's lack of excitement. We fans understand the situation with one members family illness and would be more than patient to wait to see U2 emotionally free to do what every fan knows, and that is to blow you away full stop.
