Review
2006-11-19 - Great show, awful sound! submitted by GerhardIt's the second time I visited a U2 show. I had brought some family members. And although the show was great, especially the visuals. The sound was really awful. Edge's guitar almost cost me my hearing (for three days I heard all kinds of noises there weren't). I never heard any of the words Bono spoke in between the songs.
I also had the feeling they were doing a show, instead of doing a U2 show, connecting with people. They had arrived from Ireland just a couple of hours before the show. Perhaps there had not been any time for a proper sound check?
It was definitely not worth the money.
During the Zoo TV tour I visited the concert in the Feyenoord stadium. And then the sound was really great! So I arrived with great expectations, and I left feeling robbed. This is not what I expect from the best Arena band in the world!
(It probably was the stadium now, and it probably was the stadium then...) back
