Fantastic venue, warm weather, a great saturday night and yes it has been a long time between drinks... but last night, in the 'church of the people' - U2 and 60,000 plus excited Melbourne U2 fans were all in euphoric full song! In short it was a stunning amazing show by THE best band in the world. The crowd was in great form before the show evidenced by the amazing mexican waves before the four lads even hit the stage...and when they did - Melbourne and U2 went off!! Check the setlist for night - Highlights - all of it!! lowlights - none really. The band and show were in full flight mode - Bono's voice amazing - Edge in brilliant guitar overdrive and the amazing Adam and Larry anchoring it in all in fine form. Great lighting, AV and effects and the sound quality was excellent - best ever I have heard. And a 60,000 strong loud supporting choir!! Top marks U2 - worth every cent! Fans, if you are in NZ, Japan or Hawaii - guys you are in for a real treat!! Enjoy! And hey U2, please guys come back again soon- lets not make it another 8 year gap please! Cheers!!
