2006-11-14 - Best of the three... submitted by Stephen

I was lucky enough to attend all three of the Sydney concerts and I have to say that Monday's was the best. The group just seemed to be having such a good time and the set list was great. Until The End Of The World was a great song to open the encore with on Monday. And, I think Kite is a fantastic song to end with - especially with the release of a real kite.

Before Friday's show I was concerned about the sound quality. I saw The Rolling Stones at Telstra Stadium earlier this year and the sound was absolutely terrible. On Friday I was sitting close to where I was at the Stones (a seat about half way up the back tier just to the left facing the stage), but the sound was really good. On Saturday I was six rows from the very back in the D Reserve section. The sound there too was very good. On Monday I was in a C Reserve towards the front of the top tier and there was a slight echo but it wasn't bad.

I have now been to eight U2 concerts and Monday's was the best for me - something I will never forget. The band did a fantastic job and I think there should also be a special mention to Willie Williams and all the people involved with the design of the stage and lighting, wow.
