Words can't describe the saturday night concert...Didn't think anything could top their 1998 sydney concerts! How can 4 men whip 70-odd thousand people of all ages , up into such a frenzy!!!!!! They are amazing. I loved the fact that there were people in their 60's , 9 year olds with thier parents, and every age in between all enjoying the show.
The end of the concert was soooo touching- how can a few balloons and a kite be so mesmerising!! ( anything Bono does is !)
My favourite moment was after Where the Streets have no Name, when Bono said - "What was that?!!!" It summed up that magical experience so well. I was hoping they'd play it, and when those first notes started, you could feel the electricity around the stadium--- that was the best I have felt for so long! I got so choked up - it was amazing- the jumping up and down, the punching the air, the screaming and cheering- everyone in that stadium felt it. Just magic!! I really want to go tonight again---but saturday was perfect, I'll remember that night forever.
