2006-11-11 - Everything and more, a tribute to our Justin submitted by celia barryA group of 12 of us went in memory of my Justin Barry who was lead guitarest for his 2 Syd cover's bands, Zoo Station and then Achtung Baby.
Sadly he was struck down with cruel Cancer and died last year and never got to see his ultimate band just one more time.
What an awesome concert.....he would of been blown away with last nights set list, all his old fav's which he played so brilliantly with both his bands.
To end with Kite too.....and see those 6 white balloons lifting the little box kite up and away to the words ..."this is not goodbye".....was unbelievably emotional.
We used white balloons to release Justin's ashes from his favourite spot where he flew his glider......
symbolic...you bet!
His brother printed up special shirts with "I Love U2" on the front and the 'love' was a heart outline with his picture in the middle so he was watching with us all.....
What an awesome night all round, the band was sensational, the crowd, the atmosphere, we will never forget.....
