Review
2006-11-08 - Awesome concert, please don't wait another 9 years to come see us :) submitted by KarenHi all, Last night was an incredible experience, I had a fantastic time!!! I felt really emotional to finally be there, seeing such a great band live, and the show exceeded my expectations . Now wishing I had tickets to Sydney to go again. The band sounded awesome (not enough adjectives to describe how great the sound was) Bono's voice is sublime and he just gets better and better with age. I was moved by the humanitarian and peace messages that obviously are what the band have always been about, and most of us have heard these things before but it doesn't hurt to get a reminder now and again. I loved the clever use of religious symbolism in the "Co-Exist" message ... what a great world it would be if that could be our reality. My only complaint was that time seemed to fly too fast once the music started and the long awaited, greatly anticipated show was over and i was back to reality before I knew it.
The free shuttle bus service to and from the event was fantastic, and was extremely well coordinated. The queues were lengthy but moved quickly thanks to the dedicated staff who worked hard to mobilise the massive crowd out of the vicinity in an orderly fashion.
Anyone who didn't enjoy that fantastic show last night should take a reality check ... there are kids who survive in rubbish dumps in Camobia who would think that we live like royalty. I don't think we westerners have any right to complain about anything much in our cushy pampered lifestyles, specially not a little queue to return us home safely after a fantastic night out.
