Review

2001-11-29 - U2 Concert in Dallas submitted by Matt Grossner

I just recently became a U2 fan. This was my third concert to go to and was by far the best, topping and Aerosmith and Rockfest '97 which had about 20 bands, No Doubt being one of the Headliners. No Doubt has not disappointed me yet, they did a great job opening up for U2 from what I could tell. I got my tickets off of eBay, they were behind the stage but only 8 rows back from the stage so I was still pretty close and for the price, it was well worth it.

I will Never forget seeing U2 come on stage then hear "El-e-va-tion". That was just an awsome feeling and being where I was, I could see the whole arena, everybody was standing up, moving and singing with the music, it was just amazing. Bono was great, he made sure everyone in the arena got a great show, Edge helped too. Another big thing for me was when they did "I still haven't found what I'm looking for", I have never heard a crowd that size all sing together and you could still perfectly understand what they were saying, it was unreal. On top of everything else, they did 3 encores, one of which included a cover of "what's going on?" and Gwen even came out and sag which was pretty cool.

All in all, that was the best concert I have been to, and probably will be the best for quite a long time.
