Ok, so that expression wasn't around back then, but it perfectly describes that show. My friend and I were in the front row, almost dead center and had seen Bono in the hotel earlier that day. We had managed to book ourselves into the band's hotel, so were still in shock about our luck as it was. My friend was being the jaded NY'er(we'd been to all the NY area shows already and pretty much knew the setlist), so Bono kept doing goofy things trying to make her go crazy. When it came time for Out of Control, Bono stood right in front of us, looked right at us and shouted, "This is Out of Control!". Well, both of us hit the ceiling and went into orbit (like the other 20,000 or so people in that arena!), which earned grins from the band. We used to joke that we were the reason they played that song that night. I'm sure it's not true, but it was still fun to think. Still one of my all-time favorite U2 show memories. :-D
