---the final show of the tour brought a major surprise for the encore...bono announced something to the effect of "this song helped 'break' us on radio in south florida" and the band launched into a spirited version of i fall down...during the song, bono must have opened half a dozen champagne bottles, one after another, and drenched himself, the audience, and the band...reports and recordings from this show and the previous one are rather scarce, but i fall down was performed as an encore...other than that, it was a standard setlist for the tour...this second show was not originally scheduled but went onsale the same day that tickets for the first show sold out...as enthusiastic and rabid an audience as there was at both shows, i'm surprised there is so little info on these final north american shows...then again, at the time, south florida wasn't necessarily the mecca of rock and roll...however, the ft. lauderdale/miami area may indeed be one of the band's favorite locales to perform, as they both began and ended the elevation tour here as well, and played gigs in the area more often than most bigger name acts did at the time...sure would love to see some footage or hear some audio from one of these two shows!!-----
