the shows that nearly never happened.what is it with u2 and dublins bureaucrats.landsdowne was a poor choice of venue-it hasnt got what croke or slane has.atmosphere.ash were ok,got the crowd jumping.on came pop musik and out came the band.bono wants to be a boxer and u2 delivered a knockout show.the screen worked without too many hitches-i had seen the show in belfast a few days earlier.if you werent aware of what popmart was all about,you could have got lost. zoo tv this most certainly wasnt.the lemon section had a lot of people around me in a state of confusion.down they came one at a time to do discotheque,and sanity was restored.a good day out.the following day,bono dedicated the show to princess di who died just hours after we left to get home.took the shine of what was a good day out. pete armagh
