I was working in the fashion business at the time and I heard through the grapevine about this amazing once in a lifetime eveny that was taking place Dec 5, 2000...I remember that day if it was yesterday I was friends with a certain supermodel at the time that was chummy with the band....there was no way I expected to get the nod to go with , her agent...aclose friend of mine was in the hot seat for that honor...but as all great friends do at the last minute she sacrificed her ticket to give it to me...as she knew that it was soon to be a defining moment in my young life. Fortunately I was friends with the major ticket holder...which I mention before was very...ummm hot!!!! the night started out with me meeting her at her apartment...and helping her select what to wear!!! then when we arrived to the event it was utter pandimonium...guys were offering me a $1000.00 cash for my ticket which also incuded a VIP pass to the upstairs bar...so you didn't have to wait in line with all the other schelps and a flourescent armband to an after party at Lotus with the band!!! OK by this time I was about to F##@$in lose it!! I mean how could I end up in such a blessed event??? anyway after a great show..which you all know included such classics as 11 o'clock tick tock and Bad to name few..we put down our VIP Kamakaze shakers said Ciao to our neighbors in concert arms...like Tom Cruise, Cindy Crawford, Cristy Turlington, Billy Corgan, Johnny Depp...who later proceeded to bum just about every cigarette I had late night at Lotus...when I remarked " you make $6,000,000 a picture!! can't you buy your own F#%$&in cigarettes...I mean your cool and all that but dude" so if the concert and the supermodel date and the VIP cocktails wasn't enough...I ended up having a very intelligent and adult conversation with none other than...THE EDGE!! after we chatted about F&^%$ knows..because I was starstruck like a little girl we were interupted by Edge's ringing cell phone...the caller was none other than an Irish chap by the name of Paul Hewson (aka Bono) instructing the Edge, who I'm sure was enthralled in my intelligent conversation which included remarks like you F$#@*&n so cool and you are the Shit!! to relocate to the downstairs basement bar for a drink....to my surprise the Edge and Adam who show up later invited me down for a drink....I said " No I got an early squash game in the morning" Yeah right...I stuck to them like glue..when we arrived at the muscle doormen at the entrance to the room...I was shut out!!!! thinking that my journey was over I turn around and headed back to the bar upstairs...when I felt a hand touch me on the shoulder!! It was the Edge shuffling me through personally past the tree shaped doormen that were stopping me from passing and in a ever so slight gesture, that only the Edge could do says " He's with me"...well after that it was a blur!! because it couldn't have gotten any better than that....I wound up getting home to my very understanding wife at some un Godly hour...pissed as a fart singing every song U2 ahad ever written at the same time.......WHAT A NIGHT...I WILL NEVER FORGET IT...MY BREIF MOMENT WITH MEGAROCKSTARS AND MOVIESTARS....will never come by again
