Review
2006-05-02 - "Last Stop; Last Train; Last Train to Dublin" submitted by Austin KennedyWell, I've been listening to U2 ever since I was about 3 years old, or at least thats what my family tells me. I'm only 16, and I really got into U2 hardcore about three or four years ago, when they became the only thing I listened to, literally.
I purchased two $100 tickets through the membership at U2.com, which happened to be amazing tickets: two aisle seats in front of the stage, no more than 100 ft. from the man himself (seats 11/12; section 117). The Rose Garden Area is quite small. However I bought the tickets in March of 05', and I had never been to a concert before, and this was U2! So I had a long time to think about it, and who to take since the concert wasn't until December 19.
I ended up taking my best friend Devin E., he too had never been to a concert and I had revently "converted" him to U2.
The night of the concert was awesome. We took the Max train downtown to Pioneer Square and a ate a sub and watched the city lights. We then went to the concert, which for me at least was more or less a religious experience. The setlist was awesome, and I manged to get 20 minutes of video and over 100 pictures. I just wish I can remember it more clearly...
Great concert for the last "stop" of the Vertigo 05' Tour. The audience was really into it, including me, and the band really enjoyed it and out on a good show. Don't listen to the criticizers, they're just spoiled. Amazing religouis experience, that defines it pretty well.
