Review
2006-03-24 - Unlike anything that came before submitted by Maddog_1I was a student at UT Austin at the time, and had already seen the boys AT Cayuga in NY on the War tour. It was the same setlist as the opening night in Dallas the night before, and the boys were hot. I couldn't convince my girlfriend to go right away, so as didnt get tickets for a while. Remember, it WAS 1985, and the place holds 20,000 fans. But, the place was packed as word spread through the Uni radio station and played songs like Gloria, SBS, NYD, '40', and Pride. There was still the white flag, Bono disappearing during Electric Co, only to sing the chorus from some rafter. Edge with no hat, Larry still looking 15, and Adam; what can I say. When are you guys going to let Adam sing? Let Adam have a go!
I have grown up with them, and been on every tour, except Popmart, since War. And I missed Popmart as I was never in the same town at the same time.
Anyone that thinks they have lost passion, pride, or purpose has a problem. And, anyone that wishes they saw them them, and couldn't; maybe you got lucky enough to see some of those musical gems cast out to us in 2005.
I hope that whatever it is that is an issue in your personal lives, that caused you not to go Down Under in early 2006, gets itself sorted the way that you hope it does. I'll do you a little Dion Warwicke (say a little prayer for you...). Peace and Love or Else back
