2006-03-19 - I could almost see the band submitted by tim gulickThe band was great, but for those of us (the majority) in the cheap seats it was good not because of the audio quality but rather it was just fun to be a part of something so big (you couldn't really here or see the band much but it was fun to sing along with 80,000 others.)
We were in the general non-designated section (read: nose-bleed seats) and arrived at 4:00 pm in hopes of decent seeting. Everyone else had the same idea and that section was quite full by the time we arrived. We bought some $4 (40 peso) binoculars and could just barely distinguish the Edge from a small speaker stack.
To be honest, I wouldn't want to see any band again from that distance. Though, I can't deny that there's something incredible about any U2 concert. back
