2006-01-16 - My 1st U2 show-knock me down! submitted by Dan W. Fremont

I was going to school in Boulder at the time...I had heard about U2 and had a few albums/singles but I had never seen their live show. We drove down to McNichols to catch the show and WOW, WHAT A SHOW!!The guitar work of the Edge was incredible. (I'd never seen anyone play like that-awesome!)Larry pounded out a back beat with Adam. Of course, Bono was the focal point and was quite the showman. You could tell right away that you were watching a special BAND. Such power and commitment to the music. This show for me ranks up there with Led Zeppelin 79 and Rolling Stones 1981 for inspiration and good memories (+ any Neil Young show).
"Take a stand. At least you'll know where you are"
